JOHN CORTESE (LLC Manager, Co-Writer/Producer)
John, Brooklyn born and bred, served as a teacher and Athletic Director in the NYC Public School system before retiring after 33 years of service. He is now pursuing his lifelong creative passion for writing screenplays and filmmaking. This particular comedic neighborhood tale, Tug of War, holds a special place in John’s heart because it pays tribute to the “Golden Gate”, his family owned neighborhood fruit market that opened in 1939 on Flatbush Avenue and still stands today. More importantly, the screenplay honors his father, a veteran of WW2, who at 95 years of age still goes to work to run the store. It is John's dream to share this story far and wide with movie goers of all ages, and to celebrate its success alongside family and friends.
